Last updated 2026-05-17.
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy for California residents, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identifiers — email address, IP address hash.
- Account data — display name, encrypted provider API keys you choose to store with us.
- User content — the manuscripts, characters, research notes, tags, and chat history you create in DraftProse.
- Usage data — word counts, save timestamps, session metadata.
Categories we do NOT collect
We do not collect biometric data, geolocation more precise than country, financial account numbers, government identifiers, health information, or inferences drawn for profiling. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Your rights
As a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Access your personal information in a portable format — use Settings → Account → Export.
- Delete your personal information — use Settings → Account → Delete.
- Correct inaccurate personal information — edit your profile in Settings.
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share, so there is nothing to opt out of, but this confirms that policy.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights
For access and deletion: use the in-product controls under Settings → Account. For correction or other requests, email privacy@argonode.studio. We will verify your identity by sending a sign-in link to the email on file, then act on the request within 45 days.
Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. payment records for tax purposes — we hold these for 7 years when applicable). Audit logs are retained for 90 days for security purposes.
