Privacy Policy

The DraftProse Service stores:

• The email address you use to sign in.
• The display name you set (optional).
• Your projects, binder structure, documents, characters, research notes, revisions, goals, and writing-session counts — collectively, your manuscript.
• Encrypted provider API keys you choose to store.
• Server access logs (IP-hash, timestamp, route, response code) retained for thirty days for abuse and reliability.

We do not collect analytics by default. We do not use third-party trackers. We do not place advertising cookies. We do not have a session-replay tool.

• We do not train any model on your prose.
• We do not retain your prose for any analytic purpose.
• We do not sell your prose, your email, or any signal derived from your usage.
• We do not read your prose. Humans on our team do not browse customer manuscripts.

When you click a Reader surface, we send the minimum context required to your chosen provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or your local endpoint). The exact text sent is shown via the inspect button on every read.

On the Studio tier (bring-your-own-key), the call originates from our servers but is billed to your provider account using your key. Your prose passes through our infrastructure in transit; we do not retain the request body beyond the immediate response.

On the Pro tier, the call uses our provider key. We retain the minimum metadata required to enforce fair-use caps (token counts, timestamps) — not the prose itself.

We use a single first-party cookie to maintain your sign-in session. We do not use third-party cookies. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other sites.

Your manuscript is stored in a SQLite database on Argonode Studio infrastructure. We do not currently replicate it across regions. We do not currently sell or share access to that database with anyone outside Argonode Studio.

You can export every document as Markdown anytime from your project menu. You can delete your account from Settings → Account; deletion is permanent and immediate. If you are in a jurisdiction with additional rights (right to access, rectify, object, restrict, port — looking at you, GDPR), you can exercise them by emailing hello@argonode.studio and we will respond within thirty days.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy. Material changes are announced by email at the address on file at least thirty days before they take effect.
